Some machines earn their place by fitting where nothing else does. A bike that folds at the hinge and slides into a car boot, a hallway or the corner of a small flat asks almost nothing of the space around it—and gives nothing up in return when the tarmac runs out and the ground turns rough.

The Skyjet Nitro Pro is built exactly that way. Its 20" steel frame folds in half at the main tube, yet its 20 × 4.0 fat tires and lockable alloy suspension fork treat gravel, cobbles and kerbs as ordinary ground. A 36V 250W motor and a 36V 10Ah battery cover a declared 40–45 km between charges, while a Shimano 6-speed drivetrain and disc brakes on both wheels keep pace and stopping power in the rider's hands.
